Anchor Outdoor ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our water equipment rental services.
Information we collect
When you make a rental booking we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
- Rental history and timestamps
How we use your information
We use your information solely to operate the rental service:
- Processing and confirming your booking
- Sending rental confirmations, return reminders, and deposit release notifications via SMS
- Processing payments and managing refundable deposits
- Sending optional feedback requests after your rental
- Resolving billing disputes or damage claims
SMS communications
By providing your phone number during booking you consent to receive SMS messages related to your rental. Message frequency varies — you will typically receive 2–5 messages per rental. Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out of SMS communications at any time, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at management@anchor-outdoor.com.
Payment processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is never stored on our servers. A refundable deposit hold is placed on your card at booking and released automatically upon equipment return. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only as necessary to operate the service:
- Stripe for payment processing
- Twilio for SMS delivery
- Law enforcement when required by law
Data retention
We retain rental records for up to 3 years for accounting and dispute resolution purposes. SMS opt-out preferences are retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at management@anchor-outdoor.com.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. All web traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Payment data is handled exclusively by PCI-compliant processors.
